Fast-finishing South Korean Min A Yoon has become just the third female golfer to win a mixed-gender event on a recognised professional tour by claiming the TPS Victoria title on the Mornington Peninsula.
Min holed out from a greenside bunker for an eagle three on the par-5 16th at Rosebud Country Club on Sunday to move ahead of Australian James Marchesani and into the outright lead at 24-under.
Marchesani needed to birdie the last hole to force a playoff, but had to settle for a par after twice finding the sand.
Min - who celebrated her 20th birthday last week - carded a closing nine-under 63 to clinch the one-stroke win over Marchesani.
"At the par-5 (16th) I tried to make an eagle or a birdie. That was the point to win," she said through a translator.
"First of all I tried to escape the bunker and fortunately it was near the pin and it went in."
It was the Korean's fourth eagle of the week, including a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th in the opening round.
Min had started Sunday's round five shots adrift of overnight leader Marchesani.
Elvis Smylie - son of former Australian tennis great Liz Smylie - and fellow Australians David Micheluzzi and Nathan Barbieri tied for third at 21-under.
Apart from tournament winner Min, the best-placed women were Australians Steph Kyriacou, Sarah Jane Smith and teenage amateur Justice Bosio, who were in a group tied for ninth at 17-under.
The only other female professionals to have won at professional mixed-gender events around the world are Australian Hannah Green and Sweden's Linn Grant
Green made history by winning the Players Series Murray River Event last February, while Grant took the Scandinavian Masters on the DP World Tour in June 2022.
