Milwaukee couple Greg and Patty Reiman are expressing their hopes for former President Donald Trump to choose a running mate who is not on his shortlist. They have suggested his former press secretary and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a potential candidate.
Patty emphasized her preference for governors, stating, 'He could surprise us and pick Sarah Huckabee Sanders. You know, he always says he doesn’t want to let you know. He’s given us like five fabulous choices, but I think it’s not going to be one of them. I think it’s going to be a surprise.'
Greg shared his reservations about Ohio Senator J.D. Vance or Florida Senator Marco Rubio being selected but mentioned that he would not be disappointed if they were chosen. He expressed concern about potentially losing the opportunity to win back the Senate if a senator is picked.
'I’d prefer one of the governors, and to be perfectly honest, not anyone that’s on his list right now. I like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She was his press secretary. She knows him. She believes in him,' Greg added.
