Millionaire sprinter A Case Of You leaves Ado McGuinness to continue career in Australia

Ado McGuinness’s horse of a lifetime A Case Of You has left his yard to continue his career in Australia.

A Case Of You gave McGuinness his biggest success when he landed the Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye in 2021 and then last March netted over £660,000 for connections by winning the Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai.

The five-year-old sprinter is now in training with Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr in Cranbourne, Victoria.

“The partners felt there were more opportunities down there for him,” said McGuinness. “He was the horse of a lifetime for me but hopefully we will find another one.

“I had a great time with him and have to be privileged to train him so I can’t complain. I think they are targeting some races at the Carnival down there.

“We found around here with his pedigree that no one really wanted to stand him at stud. The only option then was to go down to Australia. If he can bag a Group 1 down there he would definitely stand as a stallion there.”

McGuinness does hope to be travelling again soon with Harry’s Bar who won for the 14th time at Dundalk on Friday.

“He will definitely go to the All-Weather Finals at Newcastle and we have him entered in Dubai and Saudi, but he’s a reserve for that so might not get in the race," he said. "He will travel somewhere then across the water for Good Friday.”
