Millie Gibson shared a relatable moment from her weekend back home in Manchester as she reunited with her former Coronation Street co-star. The actress, who played Kelly Neelan in the ITV soap, has spent months being busy filming the upcoming series of Doctor Who.
Last year it was revealed that Millie, having already waved goodbye to the cobbles, would be joining the popular sci-fi series as the new companion Ruby Sunday alongside the 15th Doctor, played by Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa. And she swapped Manchester for Cardiff in order to fulfil her next big job after leaving Corrie.
But it appears she was back on home turf over the weekend after recently celebrating her 19th birthday and enjoying some quality time out with Charlotte Jordan, who Corrie fans will know for playing Daisy Midgeley in the long-running, Salford-based show.

And it didn't take long for Millie to be reminded she was back in Manchester, or so it seems, as she posted a picture to her Instagram Story of herself and Charlotte in the loos. Millie could be seen looking slightly concerningly toward the camera while Charlotte gave her best post as they both stood with their legs up.
While the image was unclear as to wise, Millie typed a caption alongside the snap to explain all. "Series of unfortunate events by the glorious Manchester weather..." she penned with two rain emojis before adding: "Legs in the restaurant dryer," confirming the former co-stars were attempting to dry off their jeans after being caught in a sudden downpour.
Mille and Charlotte's reunion comes after a few Corrie stars shared their love for Millie as she marked her birthday. Despite being hard at work, Millie was able to spend some time celebrating and taking to Instagram before her official birthday, she shared a series of photos with her 208,000 Instagram followers alongside the caption: "Birthday weekending," which included images of a fancy, darkly-lit restaurant which she visited while sporting a stunning red mini dress.
After sharing the post, a number of her former Corrie co-stars were quick to flood her with messages. Sarah Barlow actress Tina O'Brien said: "Happy birthday. Gorgeous lady inside and out." Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster in the ITV soap, replied: "Happy birthday, beauty!"
Jenny Connor star Sally Ann Matthews shared: "Happy birthday gorgeous girl," while Sair Khan, known for starring as Alya Nazir on the long-running soap, added: "Happy Birthday Beautiful lady!!!!"
But it was Paddy and co-star Tanisha Gorey who decided to go a little bit further with their birthday tributes to their pal. Paddy, who is known for playing Corrie's Max Turner, posted a black and white picture of the pair to his Instagram Story and said: "Happy birthday to darling Gibbo. Love you x."
Millie reshared the post and simply wrote: "Paddy Bever," alongside a string of red heart emojis. Tanisha meanwhile, who fans know for portraying Asha Alahan in Corrie, shared a collage of pics of the pair together both on nights out, at awards dos and one of them filming together.
"Happy birthday to my special baby girls, always. I love you endlessly. You truly have one of the biggest places in my heart," she typed in the first Instagram Story tribute. In the second she added: "All the memories made with you I'll cherish forever and ever. I'll always be your no.1 fan."
