Foundation coach Ante Milicic is eyeing off a big finish and a finals berth with Macarthur before ending his time in charge of the A-League Men's club.
Milicic confirmed earlier this week he'll be leaving the Bulls at season's end to move to Europe for family reasons, despite having a year to run on his contract.
With the decision now public, Milicic is putting all his focus on guiding the Bulls to a second-straight finals campaign after they dropped out of the top six with a 4-1 loss to Melbourne Victory last weekend.
That defeat has left Macarthur seventh on the ladder with two games to play - both at home - against Newcastle on Sunday and then Western Sydney the following weekend.
Having been in the finals positions for almost the entire season, Milicic is confident his team can reverse their slide down the standings and get themselves into the playoffs.
"Extremely confident that we can get the right result," Milicic told AAP.
"I know that we're more than capable. We've got a lot of quality in the dressing room.
"Yeah things need to potentially go our way but we can look no further than Sunday ... we've got so much to play for and I expect us to be very competitive."
Boosting Milicic's hopes is the fact he ended last weekend's defeat to Victory with Ulises Davila, Craig Noone, Tomi Juric and Danny De Silva all on the park for the first time this season.
He says while it's been disappointing not to have that quartet together for most of the campaign, it could be crucial to not only making the finals but going deep in it as well.
"Just to have them on the training ground gives you sort of a glimpse of potentially what could have been," Milicic said.
"You can understand particularly with Tomi Juric, he's missed a lot of football and so he's very eager to finish the season on the right note and Danny and Uli have combined very well together.
"Unfortunately, they've both been out for an extended period at different times.
"It would be good if they could somehow be on the pitch at the same time because we're a different proposition when we have them in the attacking third."
The Jets' hopes of finals football are almost certainly dashed after a 4-2 loss to Central Coast but the club has signed coach Arthur Papas for a further two years.
Newcastle will be without suspended playmaker Daniel Penha for the trip to Campbelltown Stadium after he was sent off against the Mariners.
