Miley Cyrus faced a terrifying experience when her private jet had to make an emergency landing after being hit by lightning.
The star told fans the incident happened after her plane was struck during a "major" electrical storm.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, the singer's pals and family could be heard gasping as the sky was lit up through her plane's window.
The body of the aircraft has been scorched and damaged from the strike.
Wrecking Ball star Miley said: "To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting.
"My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU."
Fans rushed to the comments to show support.
Miley is on the South American stint of her Mileyworld tour.
Her last gig takes place in the Colombian capital of Bogota.
One said: "Omg so glad you guys are ok!"
One added: "We love you Miley. I'm so happy everyone is OK."
Fashion brand Moschino's creative director Jeremy Scott commented: "Thank God you are all safe."
