Miley Cyrus appears to have made a savage dig at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in her latest record.
After taking a break from releasing music in recent years, on New Year's Eve, Miley, 30, announced her new single called Flowers will be dropping on January 13 and eagle-eyed fans have already guessed that the song is a brutal swipe at Australian actor Liam, 33.
The American singer teased her new single in a risqué clip on Instagram which saw her strip off into a black bikini while being soaked with water sprinklers as the blazing sun shone down on her.
Alongside her exciting announcement, she penned: "New year, new Miley."
Although the song won't drop until later this January, Miley has treated her adoring fans to a snippet of the track - and the short clip has already sent the rumour mill into overdrive as music fans speculate that the song is about Liam.
One lyric in Miley's new song, Flowers, says: "I can love me better than you can."
Naturally, fans flocked to the comments to gush over the lyrics, with some insisting that they have to be about Liam.
"She's releasing the song on the same day as Liam's birthday!!!! That is not a coincidence," one eagle-eyed fan suggested.
"This song has Liam written all over it," another echoed.
"Miley is BACCCCK! And she's hating on Liam! 2023 is gonna be a good year lol," someone else quipped.
While a fourth fan of Miley commented: "I'm sorry, but miss miley needs to drop this right away. Liam is shaking in his boots."
Miley's rollercoaster love story with Liam is something which fans are still not over.
The Wrecking Ball singer got engaged to Liam in May 2012, however the pair over a year later in September 2013.
After three years apart, Miley and Liam proved that their love defied all odds as they got back together again in 2016.
After two years of dating following their reunion, the couple married in December 2018.
However, they were only married for two years before the cracks started to show again, with the pair finalising their divorce in January 2020.
Liam has since moved on with fellow Australian Gabriella Brooks while Miley has enjoyed romances with Australian singer Cody Simpson, and Liily drummer Maxx Morando.
