Pop sensation Miley Cyrus has announced her brand new album, Endless Summer Vacation, ahead of her new single release next week.

The multi-platinum singer, 30, who releases her new single Flowers on January 13, will release the album March 10 worldwide, and dropped a visual teaser for the project to mass fanfare.

The trailer, which was tweeted on Miley Cyrus’ Twitter account, has already clocked 1.8 million views in less than 24 hours, with over 30,000 retweets and over 118,000 likes.

The album cover, shot by photographer Brianna Capozzi, depicts Cyrus against a blue-sky backdrop, hanging from a chained swing, cutting a confident figure. Naturally, the stunning image has already gone viral on social media, with many users making and sharing their own versions.

The Empire State Building’s official Twitter account even tweeted their own version of the image with Miley swinging from the top of the structure.

2023 started in style for the former Disney star, who hosted Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party show on NBC with a host of guests including co-host Dolly Parton, as well as Sia, Latto, Rae Sremmurd, David Byrne, Liily and Fletcher as well as Paris Hilton, SNL’s Chloe Fineman, Sarah Sherman and comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy.

She would go on to announce her first single of the album during the New Year’s Eve programme.

Endless Summer Vacation will mark the eighth studio album of her career, and her first album in almost three years, following her most recent offering Plastic Hearts in 2020, which saw the star explore seventies glam rock.

Miley Cyrus described her new album as “a love letter to LA” (Aaron Chown/PA) (PA Archive)

Miley Cyrus has described her upcoming album as “a love letter to LA”, adding that it will explore her journey towards building both physical and emotional strength.

Her new album will see her work with long-term collaborator and friend Mike Will Made-It, who aided her in her career transformation as executive producer on her Bangerz album, which saw her breakaway from her largely soft pop image.

Bangerz , which was released in 2013, produced some of the biggest hits of Cyrus’ career, including worldwide chart toppers We Can’t Stop and Wrecking Ball, as well as allowing Cyrus to explore her hip hop influences.

Other collaborators on her new album include English songwriter and producer Kid Harpoon, Grammy award-winning Greg Kurstin and American record producer Tyler Johnson.

Excitement for the new project has already hit fever pitch online and fans will be eagerly awaiting Cyrus’ new single to get a taste of what the album may offer.
