The Carolina Panthers are probably going to need a whole lot of firepower to keep up with the 4-1 Miami Dolphins this Sunday. But unfortunately, they’re starting off their week of preparation on the practice field without their No. 1 rusher.
Head coach Frank Reich told reporters that running back Miles Sanders will not participate in today’s session. Sanders, per Reich, made an early exit from the Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions due to a shoulder injury.

So, I’m not pre-determining anything at this point. But I don’t mind tellin’ ya, like, I don’t think Miles is gonna practice today. I don’t think Miles is gonna practice today.
“So, Raheem [Blackshear] will get some looks today. Be an opportunity, and we’ll just play that out during the week. Miles may be back, he may not be back. Not sure yet.”
Sanders, who signed a four-year, $25.4 million deal with the Panthers this offseason, has gotten off to a disappointing start. He has rushed for 190 yards and one touchdown on 61 carries.
