Twelve year-old Miles Avison is missing from Mayfield West.
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the boy who was last seen in the vicinity of Stevenson Park in Mayfield West about 1.15pm on Saturday, May 13.
Miles is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 157cm tall, with a solid build and very short hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, a grey baseball hat with 'New Zealand' written on it and a long pants.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.
Anyone who may have seen Miles or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Newcastle City Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
