The mild start to January will continue across Greater Manchester into the first full weekend of 2023.
Temperatures will remain in the high-single digits of the low double-figures until Sunday. It’s also expected to be relatively dry.
Manchester itself will see highs of 11C on Thursday (January 5), although there is a 40 percent chance of rain at lunchtime. Rain is also expected at around 10pm on Thursday.

The mild weather extends across the city-region, with temperatures falling slightly to 9C on Friday, although it looks set to be a drier day. Things do warm up for the weekend, however.
On Saturday, an initially wet morning — with there being an 80 percent chance of a downpour at 9am — will move to a sunny but cloudy afternoon. The mercury will be at 9C in the mid-afternoon, before dropping to 7C that evening.
Sunday is more like a mirror of Saturday: Starting cold and dry at 7C, it will heat up slightly to 8C, with there being a 40 percent chance of rain at 3pm.
The Met Office also believes the mild weather will continue into the early part of next week, although there could be downpours on Tuesday, January 10.
