Milan Skriniar transfer meeting held as Chelsea expect to move for Leicester's Wesley Fofana

Chelsea have have a rollercoaster of a summer transfer window, to say the least.

Thomas Tuchel's side have allowed club-record signing Romelu Lukaku to rejoin Inter Milan on loan, whilst centre-backs Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger have joined Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively. The Blues have spent in excess £80 million on two first-team additions in the form of veteran defender Kalidou Koulibaly and English star Raheem Sterling, with additional incomings expected before the window slams shut on September 1.

Now, football.london has rounded up some of the biggest transfer rumours involving the west Londoners from the last 24 hours.

Skriniar meeting

Inter Milan centre-half Milan Skriniar has established himself as one of Serie A's most consistent defenders in the last few years and those performances haven't gone unnoticed, with both Chelsea and French giants Paris Saint-Germain heavily linked with a move for the Slovakia international. Now, Sport Italia have claimed that Inter representatives are in London alongside PSG to hold a meeting over a potential transfer for the tough-tackling maestro.

If a deal is struck between the two Champions League regulars, it will be a huge blow for Blues boss Tuchel, who is keen to sign at least one more central defender this summer.

Fofana move

football.london understands that Chelsea are now considering making a move for Leicester City star Wesley Fofana, with contact to the Frenchman's entourage expected to be made sometime this week. Fofana has a long-term contract with the Foxes that doesn't expire until the summer of 2027, although that has seemingly not put Tuchel and Co off a move.

The Foxes paid around £36.5 million to acquire the 21-year-old from Saint Etienne back in the summer of 2020 and they now value him at €80 million (£68.4million), according to French outlet RMC Sport.

Kimpembe decision

As mentioned above, the west London outfit are expected to make a move for Fofana football.london understands, although the Blues are still monitoring the situation surrounding the aforementioned Skriniar, Josko Gvardiol and Frenchman Presenel Kimpembe should they need to switch to another target.

Tuchel previously coached Kimpeme during the German's time at PSG but reports linking the commanding central defender to Stamford Bridge have gone quiet in recent days.

Now, Le10Sport have claimed that Kimpembe has decided to stay with the Ligue 1 outfit rather than leave, keen to play under PSG's new head coach Christophe Galtier.
