(Picture: Getty Images)Actresss Mila Kunis said the advice she gave to her daughter about a bully was a “parenting fail.”
Appearing on the “Mom Confessions” segment of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, Kunis said that she considered her greatest “parenting fail” to be the moment when she told her daughter to defend herself against a bully.
“There was a little kid in my kid’s preschool that wasn’t very kind and pushed my daughter,” Kunis said.
She then said that her daughter explained the situation to her which prompted her to ask, “Did you push her back?” And her daughter said “No!”
Then Kunis gave her daughter the advice to “push her back next time.”

Afterwards, she noted that she turned around to see her husband Ashton Kutcher’s face, who shook his head in disapproval and mouthed the word “No!”
But that didn’t stop Kunis as she continued to school her daughter on the ways to stick up for herself.
“You stand up for yourself and say ‘no thank you’,” she told her, before adding the public service announcement that she shouldn’t push someone “off of a ladder or “a swing” but that “on the ground, it’s even-steven.”
“I’d say that that’s a parenting fail,” Kunis continued.
Kunis and Kutcher, who also have a son, have often made headlines with their modern-day approach to parenthood.
In July of this year, the couple ignited a debate about how often a parent should bathe their children after they admitted on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that they didn’t wash their children unless they appeared to have dirt on them.
Kunis said that she didn’t have “hot water” as a child so she “didn’t shower much.”
But when she did have children, she wasn’t washing them daily.
“Like, I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns — ever,” she said.
Kutcher, seemingly in agreement, said: “If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”
