Jorginho's agent confirmed the Italy midfielder is not anticipating an Arsenal exit this summer, despite the Gunners preparing to bring in new players in his position.
Mikel Arteta's team are close to wrapping up a deal for Kai Havertz, who played with January signing Jorginho at Chelsea. The Germany international is being viewed as an option in a number eight role, rather than playing in attack as he has done at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal also remain keen to bring Declan Rice to the Emirates Stadium, though they have so far been unsuccessful with multiple bids for the West Ham captain. Despite this, Jorginho's representative Joao Santos expects his client to stay in North London.
“Jorginho is very happy with Arsenal who have a very important championship to play, at the beginning of August there is the Community Shield [against Man City],” Santos told Italian TV (via the Evening Standard ). He was speaking amid reports of interest from Lazio, who finished second in Italy last season.
“There is no negotiation with Lazio," he added. "I don’t know if they have the money to pay the player, but that’s not the question.
“He [Jorginho] stays really well at Arsenal and in our mind, for the next season, there is only the Gunners. The theme is clear: the project for next year is to stay at Arsenal which can become the most important team in England."

Jorginho joined Arsenal from Chelsea at the end of the January transfer window, as manager Mikel Arteta looked for reinforcements in Arsenal's title challenge. The Gunners fell just short, finishing five points behind City, but Santos has hailed the manager.
“Coach Arteta is the most important in the Premier League," the agent added. "He understands modern football like no one else and, obviously, someone like Jorginho goes very well with someone like him.”
Jorginho's impact was hailed by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, with the goalkeeper praising the former Napoli man's mentality as well as that of other signings with experience of trophy wins. These are people which us young boys can tap into their minds," Ramsdale said after a dramatic late victory over Aston Villa.
"They have won major things and, when we have had a tough week where we lost, it could be quite easy for some of us young boys to feel nervous."
While Jorginho is expected to stay, Arsenal could yet offload two senior midfielders. Granit Xhaka is on the verge of a move to Bayer Leverkusen, while Thomas Partey has attracted interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
The Gunners are also reportedly open to offers for Albert Sambi Lokonga after the youngster ended last season on loan at Crystal Palace, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles will leave when his contract expires at the end of June. Maitland-Niles, who has spent his entire club career on Arsenal's books, has been linked with a summer move to West Ham.
