Leeds United supporters will be hoping Mikel Arteta is crowned Manager of the Month for March with one eye on previous results. The Arsenal head coach has won the award on five occasions, but in the first game of the following month the Gunners have failed to win.
It was a successful month with four wins over Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham and Crystal Palace to continue their push for the Premier League title. Arteta, Robert De Zerbi, Unai Emery and Pep Guardiola have been nominated for March's award, with a decision set to be made in due course.
The superstitious Whites supporters will be hoping history repeats itself for Arteta if he comes away with the award. After all, Leeds will need a slice of luck in a tricky run of games to follow.

The Gunners boss first won the award back in September 2021, with Arsenal drawing the following game 0-0 with Brighton. He then won it for a second time in March of 2022, with Arsenal losing the following game to Crystal Palace 3-0.
In the current campaign, Arteta has won it three times and he hasn't been able to buck that trend. After winning the August award, the Gunners were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United at Old Trafford at the start of September.
Then after winning the November/December award, the Gunners drew 0-0 with Newcastle on home soil. Then after winning the January award Sean Dyche’s Everton ran out 1-0 winners Goodison Park at the start of February.
However, Leeds will have to be wary with Arteta bringing a number of frustrating records to an end this season, with a win over Palace, their first at home since 2018, beating the Red Devils at Old Trafford for the first time since 2006 a few seasons ago and winning at Tottenham Hotspur for the first time since 2014.
