This season feels like a great opportunity for Arsenal to get their hands on some silverware. The Gunners are favourites to lift the Europa League trophy in May, they top the Premier League table after eight games, and they will be hoping for success in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
It would be unfair and unrealistic to expect Arsenal to truly challenge for all four pieces of silverware, but the Gunners certainly have a good chance of picking up a trophy this season. Silverware is something Arsenal fans haven't had a lot of in recent years, winning just one major trophy in the last four years.
Mikel Arteta won the FA Cup as Arsenal boss in 2020, but he is aiming to bring success to the Emirates Stadium on a more regular basis. However, the Spaniard has claimed that winning trophies is not his top priority in north London.

When Arteta was appointed as Gunners boss in December 2019, he took over a side languishing in mid-table in the Premier League, with a fanbase feeling divided and underwhelmed following Unai Emery's forgettable reign. Arteta has often spoken about the 'process' at Arsenal, and that just isn't about what happens on the pitch, it's about creating a good environment off it - which the 40-year-old says is more 'powerful' than winning silverware.
"I mean, if it’s winning titles or it's bringing our club together, for me, bringing the club together is much more powerful," Arteta told Michael Calvin's Football People.
"We have a club that was in a difficult state, with a lot of cracks with a lot of division. When people who have been here for 30 years who are emotionally attached to the club come to me and say: ‘Listen, I've never seen this before. I never felt that unity across the club. I never felt that unity. With our supporters.'
"Everything is sold out. We are selling more shows than ever. We don't have tickets. They really feel connected to what we are doing. The other thing is when I go to the dressing room when I walk around the building, and I see there’s really a sense of family and they [people who work for Arsenal] describe it as a sense of family, what it means for them to work for the club, to participate in this journey together.
"At the moment, this is a very different club, and that's an incredible credit that everybody has to take from the top of club to every player, because we did that together. The next step is - now we have the foundation - to win. And we are building a team to win."
