Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Gabriel Jesus is ‘OK’ after receiving a blow to the head in their 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday. The Gunners moved back to the top of the Premier League ahead of next weekend’s trip to Leeds United, where they will be hoping to have Jesus fit and available.
The Brazilian was in need of treatment during the second half of the game at the Emirates yesterday, after an elbow from Kostantinos Tsimikas appeared to catch him in the face. Jesus was fine to continue before eventually being replaced by former Leeds loanee Eddie Nketiah in the first minute of stoppage time.
Arsenal are back in action this week before they make the trip up north to Elland Road as they travel to Sweden to face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League. Jesus has started on the bench in each of their two European matches so far this season, but his involvement in that game could give a decent indication on his availability against Leeds.

Arteta was asked on the condition of Jesus after the impressive victory against Liverpool on Sunday and claimed that while he had not yet consulted with the medical staff, he believes that he is fine.
He said: “I don’t know, I haven’t been with the doctor yet but I’m sure they’re checking him. He seemed OK after the game. I don’t actually know what happened, but we will obviously assess how he is.”
