Mikel Arteta may have already hinted that Nicolas Pepe will start from the left-wing against Brentford today.
The Gunners front four has picked itself in recent times, with Bukayo Saka on the right, Martin Odegaard as no.10, Gabriel Martinelli on the left and Alexandre Lacazette at centre-forward.
However, Martinelli was controversially sent off during the 1-0 win against Wolves last week after two quick-fire yellow cards for fouls in the same sequence of play.
That leaves the left flank open for Saturday afternoon's clash against the Bees, with many fans expecting Hale End academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe to start.
However, Arteta has previously heaped praise on club-record signing Pepe's influence from the left, lauding the Ivorian for his impressive performance during last season's 3-1 win against Southampton
Speaking after the win, the Spaniard said: "It was a little bit of the game plan, of how [Southampton] play and how we could expose them a little bit more.
"Nico's played on the right but played on the left today and I think he was really good. He looks much more settled and convincing. He looked more confident so overall I'm delighted."
The former Lille star has struggled for consistent game time this season, starting just five Premier League games and perhaps the match against Thomas Frank's side could be the perfect opportunity for him to showcase his undeniable talent.
Since signing for a club-record £72million from the Ligue 1 outfit, Pepe has netted 26 goals and provided a further 20 assists - a solid return from 101 outings.
