Mikel Arteta is currently in America after being invited as a guest of Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, football.london understands.
Arteta attended a Colorado Avalanche match - the NHL team that Kroenke owns - on Monday night and will hold mid-season talks with the Arsenal owner before flying to Dubai on Wednesday.
The Gunners will be in Dubai until next Wednesday as part of a mid-season training camp, with sponsorship events and team-bonding sessions expected to take place.
Several youngsters are expected to be part of the travelling squad, with Arsenal keen to complete two new signings before the transfer window closes this month.
Arteta is keen to bring in a long-term replacement for out-of-favour striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and football.london understands that the club are open to offers for the exiled captain.
The Spaniard's top target had been Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic but, as football.london reported earlier this month, the Serbia international has told close friends that he would prefer to stay in Serie A and it's understood that Juventus are in pole position to sign the frontman in the coming days.
Alexander Isak is a target while Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic has been offered to the Gunners.
Arthur Melo remains the club's main central midfield target although an agreement with his parent club Juventus has yet to be reached.
Isak has a €90million (£75.4m) release clause in his contract, although the Gunners are expected to negotiate that fee.
"My clause? We, the players, don't take too much care of that, it's more on the side of the clubs. We play and the clubs negotiate with each other,” the Swedish international said back in November.
