Manchester United look set to throw a spanner in the works as the race to sign Declan Rice builds build a head of steam. The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from West Ham for a while now as he continues to impress for club and country.
Despite the arrival of Jorginho in January, football.london understand that Arsenal still hold a strong interest in Rice. It's also understood that the Hammers captain remains a key target for Chelsea, with the Blues in desperate need of a holding midfielder.
However, there seems to be just as much interest in Rice outside of London. According to The Sun, Erik ten Hag has long been an admirer of the England international, who is quickly climbing his summer shortlist.

The report states that Rice impressed United's coaching staff during West Ham's win over the Red Devils at the weekend. The former Chelsea academy star led the east Londoners to an impressive 1-0 win.
The Sun add that United regard Rice as a player they could build a team around. He sees his contract with West Ham expire at the end of next season, but it's said that the Hammers hold the option to extend his stay by a further year.
Nevertheless, Rice has previously voiced his desire to ply his trade in the Champions League and, with the Hammers only capable of clinching Europa League qualification by winning the Europa Conference League in the coming weeks, he's yet to commit his long-term future to the club.
As speculation over Rice's future intensifies, David Moyes has insisted that his captain will be an 'extremely expensive' acquisition. After West Ham's win over United, the Scotsman said: "Again, he was outstanding tonight but I thought we had some really big performers. No surprising me, he has got a great talent of regaining the ball.
"You’ve seen him play for England, you’ve seen the abilities he uses in recovering the ball and getting around people. He’s great across the ground, very quick. I’m pleased, but not surprised."
When asked if he's worried whether Rice's impressive performances will attract fresh interest, Moyes replied: "Yes, that’s why he is probably the best English midfield player around and that is why he is going to be extremely expensive if anybody comes calling."
