Mikel Arteta has confirmed Ben White is available for England selection after leaving the World Cup squad early during the tournament last year.
White was called up by Gareth Southgate after excelling for Arsenal this season and helping the Gunners climb to the top of the Premier League.
The defender, however, left the squad on November 30 and returned home for personal reasons.
Southgate is due to name his latest England squad on Thursday for this month’s internationals against Ukraine and Italy, and Arteta has said that White is available for selection if called upon.
“As far as I am concerned, no,” said Arteta, when asked if there was any hangover from the World Cup.
“He has been in very good form, available for every single match and has been performing well for us.
“He is available for us so for sure he will be available for the England squad.”
