Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he ‘100 percent’ backs the account of his players amid the FA investigation after last weekend’s clash with Liverpool.
Sunday’s match saw the Reds suffer a 3-2 defeat to the Gunners in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium. The aftermath of the game resulted in the FA launching an investigation into an incident between Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes and Jordan Henderson.
The FA said in a statement: "We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool . We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident."

Referee Michael Oliver went over to speak to Jurgen Klopp and Arteta about the incident, and the Liverpool boss would not speak any further when asked by reporters post-match. Now Arteta has been asked again about the incident, and as claimed by the Mail Online he says he stood by his players’ account “100 percent”.
“It’s something I don’t want to touch. It’s in the FA’s hands and I’m not going to get involved in that,” Arteta added.
When pressed on whether he expects the investigation to rumble on, the Arsenal boss added: ‘I don’t know. It’s something that I don’t decide.
“I think timings are really difficult to predict. The FA is in charge of the situation and we’ll have to wait and see.’
