Arsenal have already been active in the transfer window, but Mikel Arteta has admitted that he is expecting further additions the squad. The Gunners have brought in Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Gabriel Jesus, but there has been little indication that their business is set to stop there, with Edu set for a busy few months.
The latter trio all made their first appearances in front of fans as Arsenal came out 5-3 winners in a rollercoaster pre-season friendly against FC Nurnberg. Speaking after the game Arteta admitted that although he is happy with the business his side have done so far, there is still a hope that more can be done.
"There are more things that we would like to do if we can," the Spaniard said in his post-match press conference. "But obviously the market will dictate what we can do. So far we are happy with what we’ve done."

Lisandro Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and the need for additions in that area of the pitch was reaffirmed as Kieran Tierney was taken off after half an hour for a pre-planned substitution as he returns from a long term knee injury. Another player who the Gunners are also targetting is Youri Tielemans who Arteta was asked about after the game.
"We never talk about players that are not ours," the Spaniard said. "As I said before, we can still improve the team in the market and we’re going to try to do it, but I won’t go into any specific names."
football.london understands that Arsenal hold an interest in Tielemans having held meetings with his representatives at London Colney. The deal has stalled recently, but could be reignited as the Gunners seek to bolster their midfield options.
