Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte were both their usual animated selves throughout Saturday's North London derby as Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners at the Emirates.
Though Arteta came away the happier of the two, he still showed signs of serious anger and frustration over the course of what was an emotional rollercoaster for both teams. From the very first whistle Conte was guilty of leaving his technical area to bark orders at his players.
With that being said, Arteta is not in a position to be annoyed given the Gunners boss is a serial offender in that respect. The opening exchanges of the clash actually saw Arteta shout something in the direction of his counterpart, though it did not look as if Conte took much notice.
There has been bad blood between these two previously, with Conte claiming Arteta should "stop moaning" in the wake of Spurs' 3-0 home win over their rivals at the back end of last season.
The Arsenal boss was fortunate not to face a talking to from referee Anthony Taylor at one point during the second-half, as he was spotted almost shouting right in the face of fourth official Robert Jones after one contentious decision.
That running battle with the fourth official was the theme of Arteta's first-half on the touchline, with the Spaniard left furious with the referee's decision not to punish Cristian Romero further after he clattered into Gabriel Jesus.
While Arteta was left seething by officials, Conte was fuming with his own players, most notably in the moments leading up to Emerson Royal's foolish red card.

The full-back was given his marching orders for a cynical challenge on Gabriel Martinelli, but shortly before that Conte was spotted screaming at the defender for a poor pass - something that occurred more than once throughout the game.
Spurs were made to pay for Emerson's mistake, as Granit Xhaka helped make sure Arsenal took full advantage of their numerical advantage by adding a third. Conte cut an incredibly infuriated figure on the touchline, while the Gunners bench celebrated wildly nearby.
Though the Emirates by this point was bouncing and in full voice, Arteta wasn't exactly all smiles. After one promising Arsenal move broke down, the Gunners boss launched into a furious rant at Martinelli as he was the one guilty of giving the ball away.
It is a testament to the kind of pressure these Arsenal players can thrive under that the expectations are always to deliver the absolute best even when the result has been put beyond any doubt.
Arteta was seen coaching the young Gunners in particular throughout, having enjoyed a spirited discussion with Bukayo Saka while the scores were still level at 1-1.
Despite the rivalry, both bosses enjoyed a friendly handshake come the full-time whistle. Arteta's smirk at the end of the game sent quite the message, as the Spaniard comes to the realisation this Arsenal team could be capable of more than ever he could have predicted at the start of the season.
It is a contrasting story for Conte, whose Spurs side were flying high coming into this clash without a defeat to their name this season. That unbeaten run has since come to an end with Saturday's loss and has perhaps reminded the Italian he has work to do before Spurs can be the subject of title talk.
