Mikel Arteta already has his own Mohamed Salah at Arsenal following Chelsea heroics

Lee Dixon has said that Bukayo Saka reminds him of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after the way he played in Arsenal's thrilling 4-2 win at Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta's side went into the clash at Stamford Bridge in terrible form after losing three Premier League games on the bounce, falling to Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton. However, the Gunners were able to rally and defeat Thomas Tuchel's men thanks to goals from Hale End academy graduates Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe.

Now, former Arsenal defender Dixon has compared Saka to Egyptian forward Salah, who is currently the league's top scorer, having netted 22 times in the English top-flight this term. Speaking about the England international on NBC Sport, he said: “When this lad runs with the ball at his feet it reminds me a little bit of Mo Salah. Just watch how quick he gets it out of his feet and attacks the full-back. Once he gets in the box, [Marcos] Alonso is in trouble.

"The cut-back is good but Nketiah can’t get enough on it.” The 19-year-old scored the final goal of the game, converting his side's penalty in injury-time to clinch all three points and send the north Londoners level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal still need to play their local rivals away from home this season but first up is a must-win match against Manchester United, who they welcome to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils are only three points behind the two north London clubs, although they have played one game more than their top-four rivals.
