Former Ohio State defensive end, Mike Vrabel, is going into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame as its 34th member. The news was announced on Thursday.
If you are old enough as an Ohio State fan, you remember Mike Vrabel for what he did on the football field, not on the sideline as a coach. Vrabes still owns the career sack record at OSU and parlayed all of that success at the next level with the New England Patriots.
Buy Buckeyes TicketsVrabel spent most of his 14 years in the NFL with the Patriots but was drafted by the Steelers and retired from the game with the Kansas City Chiefs. While he was in New England, the Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, native became a star, winning three Super Bowls with the Patriots as a linebacker.

During his eight years there, Vrabel played in a whopping 125 games, starting 110 of them. He wracked up 606 tackles, 48 sacks, and had 11 interceptions. He was occasionally used on offense as a tight end and even scored two touchdowns in two different Super Bowls. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2007.
Vrabel is already a member of the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame, having been inducted in 2012.
