Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel has no shortage of confidence in his own toughness, and I don’t blame him after watching him play football for many years and seeing how tough he is as a coach.
But he does have his limits when it comes to that confidence, something he recently showed during an appearance on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast.
The Boys asked Vrabel if he could beat former NFL tight end and Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell in a fight, to which Vrabel responded:
“Sure, I think I can beat anybody in a [expletive] fight, except for, like, Jeff Simmons,” Vrabel said with a laugh before going on to recall a battle he had with Campbell when both were players.
You can check out Vrabel’s full comments at the two-hour, seven-minute mark of the video below (warning: NSFW language). The entire episode is worth a listen (or watch), though.
Campbell, who stood at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds during his playing days and still looks to be in very formidable shape, would be quite the matchup for Vrabes, and that’s something I’d pay money to see.
I can’t blame Vrabel’s hesitation with Simmons at all. Big Jeff is one of the meanest players in the NFL and a physical specimen at 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds. There are few on this planet who could take him.
