Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul rules: Rounds, special gloves and times, explained

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to fight each other on Friday night on Netflix, in what’s been an extremely anticipated bout between the legendary boxer and the YouTube star turned pugilist.

And if you’re here, you might be wondering: what are the rules for the main event between the two?

We have those answers:

1. Rounds: Instead of the normal 10 or 12,  they’ll fight in eight rounds.

2. Round times: Instead of three minutes in the ring, they’ll fight for two minutes in each round.

3. Special gloves: They’ll both wear 14-ounce gloves. Normally, boxers wear 10-ounce gloves in heavyweight fights.

The other boxing rules are normal. There you have it!
