Mike Tomlin will reportedly return to Steelers for another winning season with a terrible quarterback

While one football legend has reportedly told teammates this week he plans to retire, another has shared with his team that he’s staying.

Amid speculation about his future with the franchise, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has reportedly decided to return for another season, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Garafolo reported that Tomlin informed the Steelers on Tuesday that any speculation about him exiting his role is “unfounded” and that he’ll indeed be back on the sideline for Pittsburgh this fall.

Tomlin didn’t respond to an inquiry about his job status on Monday after Pittsburgh’s AFC wild-card round loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he’s reportedly answered the question for his locker room as to who will coach the Steelers in 2024.

Tomlin’s return comes with a sigh of relief for Steelers fans who saw him elevate a team with quarterback concerns in 2023 to a winning record, something he’s achieved in all the years he’s coached the Steelers since taking over in 2007.

Now, he’ll reportedly stay the course with the Steelers for another possible winning season this fall. Even if the quarterback situation isn’t great, you can still bet the coach will be.
