Mike Tomlin gives typical 4-word response to George Pickens’ antics

On Saturday, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens got caught on camera arguing with Steelers fans during the game. The Steelers lost 19-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals to finish the season on a four-game losing streak.

For Pickens, the game was a nightmare. Pickens was targeted six times but finished with only one catch for zero yards. Pickens had multiple drops on plays we’ve grown to expect him to make. We assume some Steelers fans wanted to remind Pickens of that and let them know of their disappointment.

On Monday, head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media and when he was asked about the incident, Tomlin had the most Tomlin answer of all.

“That’s news to me,” Tomlin said.

Sometimes it feels like Tomlin is just gaslighting the media when he says things like that. It’s hard to imagine in a professional organization like this, a coach, assistant or staffer didn’t reach out to Tomlin to let him know what happened.
