Former Vice President Mike Pence has taken on a new role as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow for Faith & Public Life at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. The conservative Christian school announced Pence's appointment, highlighting his commitment to exploring the intersection of Christian faith and public institutions.
Pence expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing the importance of faith in public life. He praised Grove City College for its dedication to nurturing students' faith and preparing them to be ethical leaders in society.
Grove City College President Paul J. McNulty lauded Pence as the ideal candidate for the position, citing his exemplary leadership and dedication to serving with integrity. McNulty underscored the significance of faith in shaping societal values and commended Pence for his commitment to putting faith into action for the common good.
In his new role, Pence will collaborate with McNulty to teach a course, engage with students through writing and speaking, and participate in various events at the college. The school highlighted Pence's extensive experience in public service, noting that his insights gained from years in Congress, as governor of Indiana, and as vice president will enrich the work of the Center for Faith & Public Life.
Since leaving office, Pence has been active in sharing his perspectives on faith and public service. He authored a book titled 'So Help Me God' and briefly entered the 2024 presidential race before suspending his campaign.
