Migos member Offset has delayed his solo album release after his cousin and bandmate Takeoff's sudden death.
The musician has said that he will be delaying his music indefinitely as he mourns the loss of his younger cousin.
Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas earlier this month. He was 28-years-old.
A police investigation is currently underway to find those responsible for the rapper's tragic death.
Offset's album, which has yet to be given an official title, was due to be released on Friday but the plans have since changed in light of the tragedy.
A fan asked Offset whether the album would still be released as planned, but he said: "No, pushed back."
A new date for the album is yet to be announced.
Takeoff’s record label, Quality Control, released a statement following his death saying that the rapper had been struck by a stray bullet during the incident.
Offset and Quavo have yet to speak publicly about their loss.
Takeoff’s memorial service took place on Friday in his home city of Atlanta, Georgia, at the 21,000-seater State Farm Arena – with Drake giving an eulogy and Cardi B and Justin Bieber performing in honour of the late rapper.
Takeoff's group Migos achieved international fame with their 2016 hit single Bad and Boujee, which managed to reach number one in America and reached the top 30 in the UK.
The band then later appeared on Calvin Harris’ 2017 song Slide, which also featured Frank Ocean and reached the UK top 10 that year.
Migos got a total of four top 10 hits in the United States between 2016 and 2018, and they had been working on solo projects since 2017.
As a mark of respect, Drake has rescheduled an intimate show in New York and attended the memorial instead.
Speaking on SiriusXM, Drake said: "Before I get into the pleasantries, I’d just like to send our deepest condolences to our brother Quavo, to our brother Offset.
"[Shout out] to the friends and loved ones of the legendary, unprecedented Takeoff – a guy that I knew for a long, long time."
Other stars have paid tribute to Takeoff.
Former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland also took to the platform to share her disbelief, writing: "Keeping his family in my prayers!! There are no words…"
While singer-songwriter Tayana Taylor said: "Please tell me this is just a bad dream pleaseeeeeeee I don’t want to believe this lil bro please."
Kylie Jenner, who is dating musician Travis Scott, shared one of Takeoff's songs to her Instagram Story and sadly said: "So many prayers.
"God cover this family. Heartbreaking. Gone too soon. Devastating," alongside a broken heart emoji.
