MIGOS rapper Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston in the early hours of Tuesday morning, TMZ reports.
Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene while two other people on the premises were shot and taken to hospital.
The 28-year-old had been playing dice with Quavo, also a member of Migos.
On Twitter, friends and admirers paid tribute. Boxer Chris Eubank Jr said: “I remember Takeoff being a very down to earth, cool dude.

Takeoff was born in Lawrenceville, George in 1994 and began rapping with Quavo and Offset, his uncle and cousin, in 2008 under the collective name Polo Club.
Twitch streamer Adin Ross also paid tribute, writing: “Rest in peace to Takeoff, I just spoke to him too.
“I’m in shock right now, I can’t believe it.”
Migos are best known for their 2016 Lil Uzi Vert collaboration Bad and Boujee which peaked at No 1 in the US.
They also had Top 10 hits with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B as well as Drake.
Takeoff also released one album as a solo artist in 2018 titled The Last Rocket which debuted at No 4 in the US.
