Developer Digital Eclipse just revealed the inclusions of the first major update for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind.

The game's first significant patch includes a variety of gameplay adjustments and improvements that aim to make the gaming experience smoother and more enjoyable. The studio said that it has heard suggestions from players over the last few days.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind Update

Digital Eclipse added that they are rolling the refinements out to the game in order to adjust various parts based on the feedback they got. The changes are now available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

For Brawler gameplay, one of the things that the new update fixes is that all Rangers now move faster, which includes both walk and dash speeds. Furthermore, the Ranger grab and grab attack speed have been increased.

Rangers can also now perform the Dodge move without suffering from any cooldown but the character will only be invulnerable for the initial frames of the animation. For Easy mode, the Dodge move is always invulnerable, according to Nintendo Life.

The update also allows a Ranger to chain Rising Strike from many more states than previously available.

They can also now Dodge while holding an enemy to let go. Additionally, the Ranger Special is slightly booster if you perform a successful Dodge against an enemy attack.

The developer also made the vertical attack collision for Time Disruptors wider, which makes these enemies easier to hit. On top of Time Disruptors being easier to hit, the update also makes these enemies easier to destroy in Easy mode.

Popularity of the Franchise

As for Zord and Megazord gameplay, the major update makes all machine gun fire, such as bunkers, turrets, and flying ships, do less damage than before. Additionally, gravity has been reduced when you jump, which makes pits easier to clear, Go Nintendo said.

Now, when several players are working together to fight a boss, and some of them reach a Game Over state, the difficulty of the fight will scale accordingly. The developer also made Megazord boss health lower and made damage dealt to these enemies more balanced.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind comes as the franchise has had a significant impact through several generations throughout the years. The original crew is seen as having the most influence among all versions of the shows.

A lot of kids, particularly those who were watching the shows in the 1990s, wanted to become Power Rangers themselves. The game lets fans of the franchise live out their dream by fighting bad guys as their favorite heroes, according to Vice.
