Midlothain police have confirmed that they have had to attend a local community shop after reports of a robbery.
Officers said that they were called to a report of a robbery at a SPAR convenience store on Woodburn Avenue in Dalkeith on Tuesday, February 21.
The incident is understood to have taken place at around 2.25pm and police say that they attended the scene and that no injuries were reported in relation to the alleged crime.

Midlothian police have said that enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the event. SPAR confirmed that an incident had taken place at the store.
Residents had shared concerns regarding a heavy police presence in the area. One local was able to capture a police van which was still at the scene at around 5pm this afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 2.25pm on Tuesday, February 21 to a report of a robbery at a premises on Woodburn Avenue, Dalkeith.
“Officers attended and no one was injured. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
