Midlothian emergency services rush to three-vehicle crash on busy road

A three-vehicle collision sparked delays in the Midlothian area on Monday evening.

Emergency services rushed to Bonnyrigg on Tuesday at around 4.50pm on Monday June 26.

Locals warned others to 'avoid' the area as police and paramedics attended the incident outside the Polton Inn.

It is currently unknown if there were any casualties.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Around 4.50pm on Monday, 26 June, 2023 officers were called to Polton Road, Bonnyrigg, following a report of a three vehicle crash.

"Emergency services attended and recovery was arranged."

Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
