A Midlothian carer has been given a formal warning after her actions towards a resident last year.
Nicola Ohara was brought under review by the Scottish Social Services Council this month following the incident, which took place at the Pittendreich Care Home in Lasswade in October 2021.
Emploted as a senior member of staff at the time, an investigation had found that Ms Ohara had targeted a resident after they were making what she had deemed as too much noise.

Removing the resident from the dining area, the carer was found to have put the gentleman in the hallway on his own.
Speaking to the resident, Ms Ohara had gone on to say: “You will f****** sit there because I’m not listening to your f****** noise.” Reviewing her behaviour, the SSSC said that Ms Ohara’s actions “fell short of the standards expected.”
The review added: "Social service workers must not abuse, neglect or harm people who use services, carers or their colleagues. You removed a resident from the dining room and then verbally abused the resident by shouting and swearing. Your behaviour had the potential to cause distress to the resident.
"The social services profession is a caring and responsible profession and this behaviour falls far short of the standards expected. The behaviour is regarded as serious."
Although denying the accusations against her, the review also stated that the carer had since left her position, and had not worked in the sector since April 2022.
Deciding against striking Ms Ohara from the register, the council said that her previous history of no misconduct and the fact the incident was isolated would mean she would instead receive a 12-month warning.
Owners of Pittendreich Care Home have been approached for comment.
