Nottingham Forest-linked Jay Fulton is said to have received offers from two Championship clubs, having been told he is free to leave Swansea City.
Prior to the January transfer window, there had been rumours about a potential reunion with Steve Cooper at the City Ground for the midfielder.
Fulton has now received offers from Blackpool and Barnsley, according to WalesOnline, and could be on the move this month.
Cooper had been coy about the link, when asked about it in the aftermath of his team’s 4-1 triumph at the Liberty Stadium last month.
"We've got a lot of midfield players here,” said the Reds head coach at the time.
“I'm fond of all the players here. I don't want to talk too much about someone else's player.”
Fulton, who is under contract until 2024, has made just seven appearances in all competitions for the Swans this term, having failed to force his way into boss Russell Martin’s plans.
The last time he featured in the league was back in September, when he came off the bench in a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
Although currently down the pecking order in south Wales, he had been a key figure when Cooper was in charge, playing his part in Swansea making it to the Championship play-off final last term.
As he was poised to take up the City Ground hot seat in September, reports emerged of Cooper being keen on linking up with Fulton again when he finally got the chance to make his mark on the Forest squad.
Midfield is one area where the Reds have plenty of options, however, particularly when Jack Colback is able to move back to his more natural position after filling in at left-back in the absence of Max Lowe.
