Mics picked up Jon Rahm’s furious rant about drones distracting him mid-swing at LIV Golf Nashville

In the two years since the Saudi-backed LIV Golf started, the league has been able to bring along some of PGA’s biggest stars with jaw-dropping contracts. And Jon Rahm’s $550 million deal with LIV was among the biggest losses for the PGA Tour.

But it doesn’t seem like any amount of money can calm some of Rahm’s frustrations with the LIV Golf playing environment.

At the sixth hole of Sunday’s LIV Golf Nashville, Rahm sent his tee shot way left and started looking at the sky out of frustration. Rahm was upset with the drones flying overhead, and we heard exactly what he thought about them. (Warning: Strong language)

Rahm said:

“Every tournament. It’s (expletive) incredible. Right on my backswing. These (expletive) drones every time.”

LIV Golf utilizes drones throughout its events for shot tracing and overhead camera views. But drones are also loud, and Rahm clearly doesn’t enjoy hearing incessant buzzing during his swing. At the same time, it’s surprising that the golfer who has appeared in eight WM Phoenix Opens suddenly can’t handle drone noise.

Still, Rahm had to know what he signed up for. Golf fans also had thoughts on the mid-round outburst.

This was how Twitter/X reacted
