Mics caught a fan asking Phil Mickelson for advice on Al Horford NBA Finals props during the U.S. Open

While others cruised ahead in the major golf tournament, Phil Mickelson didn’t have the best start to the 2022 U.S. Open. After the first round, Mickelson (+20000 to win with Tipico Sportsbook) was tied for 144th place at +8 on the overall leaderboard. He wasn’t too happy about it.

With Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Warriors on Thursday night, one very excited fan tried to get Phil’s take on the evening programming while finishing the 18th hole of Thursday’s opener.

Specifically, the fan really wanted to know what the golfer thought of an over/under prop bet on rebounds for Celtics center Al Horford in his team’s elimination game.

The results were predictably hilarious:

“Phil, Al Horford, over/under nine and a half rebounds?!”

Mickelson, still fuming and in the middle of the heated competition, understandably didn’t reply. If it’s any consolation for the fan — Horford did hit the over in Game 6.
