Microsoft has announced it is relaunching its original desktop operating system, Windows 1.0, nearly 34 years after the software was first released.
The company has posted a video on its official Twitter account showing Windows logos flashing across the screen in reverse order, and 1980s-style music playing in the background.
"Introducing the all-new Windows 1.0, with MS-DOS Executive, Clock, and more!!," the post reads.
The bizarre announcement was met with bafflement from Windows fans, with some asking if it was very late April Fool's Joke.
But there are several clues that the tweet and video may be linked to the new season of Stranger Things, which is released tomorrow.
Stranger Things is set in 1985 - the year Windows 1.0 launched.
When one Twitter user asked why Microsoft had decided to relaunch WIndows 1.0, Microsoft replied "Because it comes with REVERSI!"
Reversi is a board game played with discs which are light on one side and dark on the other.
In Stranger Things, the real world is juxtaposed with an alternate dimension called the Upside Down. You could say the real world is the light side and the Upside Down is the dark side.
Another clue is the timing - the tweet was made on 1 July - three days before the third series is available to watch.
Chances are that Windows 1.0 - and Reversi - will feature in the new series, and Microsoft is having a bit of fun with it.
Either that or the company has completely lost the plot.
