Microphone Cardi B threw at fan being auctioned on eBay

The microphone that was thrown by Cardi B at a concertgoer during a recent Vegas show is now up for auction on eBay, with all proceeds going to charity.

Last month, the 30-year-old rapper reacted angrily when an audience member appeared to throw water at her mid-performance.

In now viral footage of the incident, the Bodak Yellow hitmaker can be seen throwing the microphone towards the fan and yelling in retaliation.

Following the furore, Scott Fisher, the owner of The Wave, a Las Vegas-based audio company that provides audio support to several nightclubs, including Drai’s Nightclub, where the incident occurred, decided to put the piece of equipment for auction.

The current bid is at just under $100,000 (eBay)

Fisher expressed his desire to “try to do something good” through and revealed the proceeds from the sale will be split between two charities - Friendship Circle Las Vegas and Wounded Warrior Project.

Fisher wrote on Facebook: “I own the mic that Cardi B was nice enough to tomahawk at somebody that splashed some liquid on her a few days ago.

“After some encouragement from people I decided to auction it off with 100 per cent of the profit going to be split evenly amongst two charities.

“One is a local charity called Friendship Circle Las Vegas. The other is Wounded Warrior Project.”

At the time of writing, bids for the mic had reached $99,900, with the listing set to end on Tuesday, August 8.

The auction comes after police in Las Vegas dropped their criminal battery investigation into the incident and said no charges would be filed.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shared in a statement: “After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence.

“No charges will be filed in relation to this case.”

The incident was the latest in a number in which artists have had items thrown at them while onstage.

In recent months British superstar Harry Styles and singer Bebe Rexha have both been hit in the face with objects during live performances in Vienna and New York respectively.

During one of her Las Vegas shows at Caesars Palace, Adele warned audience members against forgetting “show etiquette”.
