Mick Maynard’s Shoes: What’s next for Nassourdine Imavov after UFC Fight Night 250 win?

(ALSO SEE: Mick Maynard’s Shoes: What’s next for Israel Adesanya after UFC Fight Night 250 loss?)

Nassourdine Imavov delivered the goods in the biggest spot of his career Saturday when he knocked out former champion Israel Adesanya in the UFC Fight Night 250 main event.

Imavov (16-4 MMA, 8-2 UFC) put the name of a ex-titleholder on his resume for the first time when he floored Adesanya (24-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) for the second-round knockout at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, extending his winning streak to four fights overall, and seven straight in the middleweight division.

After the signature win, Imavov called for a title shot against the winner of Saturday’s UFC 312 title bout between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland.

Will Imavov get his first shot at UFC gold, or will another opportunity come into play? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on his future after UFC Fight Night 250.
