Marvin Vettori once again ran into a stumbling block at the top of the middleweight division Saturday when he was decisively beaten by Jared Cannonier at UFC on ESPN 46.
Outside of a solid first round, Vettori (19-7-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC) didn’t have much to offer Cannonier (17-6 MMA, 10-6 UFC) in the headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and thus suffering a unanimous decision defeat that served as a blow to his title aspirations.
