Mick Lynch gives no-nonsense answer when asked question from GB News

MICK Lynch gave a no-nonsense answer when asked a question from GB News as he was grilled on the latest round of strike action.

Rail passengers are set to face disruption in the run-up to Christmas after the RMT union announced more strike dates.

Industrial action is set to be held across four 48-hour periods on December 13-14 and 16-17 as well as January 3-4 and 6-7.

When asked a question by a GB News journalist, Lynch, who is known for stern approach to interviews, asked: “Is there anyone from a normal outlet?”

Another journalist was then heard shouting, “yeah Mick hi,” before the union leader smirked and turned away to answer another question.

It’s far from the first time Lynch has butted heads with journalists. Back in June, he clashed with Sky News’ Kay Burley when she asked him about picket lines.

He also made a notable appearance on Politics Live where he told Labour frontbencher Baroness Chapman that he didn’t know who she was.

In a bizarre interview with Talk TV’s Piers Morgan, Lynch was grilled over a “comparison” to a Thunderbirds villain.

Morgan presented Lynch with a screenshot of The Hood from Thunderbirds, which was the RMT general-secretary’s Facebook profile picture at the time.

More than 40,000 RMT members are expected to take part in the next wave of strike action.

The RMT also said there would be an overtime ban from December 19 until January 2, meaning the union will be taking industrial action for four weeks in total.
