Will Michigan State snap its long losing streak in its final home game of the season on Saturday?
The Spartans enter Saturday’s matchup with the Cornhuskers looking to snap a six-game losing streak. Michigan State is 2-6 overall and 0-5 in Big Ten play this year, and hasn’t won a game since Harlon Barnett took over as interim coach in early September.
Nebraska, on the other hand, has been rolling since their early season slow start. The Cornhuskers are 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play with wins in their last three games and five of their last six.
So can Michigan State find a way to muster up a strong enough effort to get the win? See what the Spartans Wire staff thinks in our weekly Michigan State predictions below:
Andrew Brewster

Prediction: MSU 10, Nebraska 20
Once again, Michigan State isn’t getting the benefit of the doubt for any games moving forward this year. The team is struggling through a very challenging year. Credit to the players for fighting through it, but you can’t take them to win right now.
Cory Linsner

Prediction: MSU 13, Nebraska 24
This team is just bad. Tune in to see some young guys play and improve, but I’m not expecting a win.
Robert Bondy

Prediction: MSU 13, Nebraska 23
Last week’s loss at Minnesota was my final straw — I won’t be picking the Spartans to win another game this year. I don’t think Nebraska is particularly great but there’s no reason for anyone to think Michigan State will win this game.
