Michigan State suspends 4 players involved in altercation after Michigan game

Michigan State coach Mel Tucker announced Sunday night he is suspending a quartet of players who were involved in the ugly incident in the tunnel after the Spartans’ loss to Michigan on Saturday.

The players suspended are Tank Brown, Khary Crump, Angelo Grose, and Zion Young.

The four will remain suspended until all investigations are completed. Tucker didn’t rule out discipline for additional student-athletes going forward.

All suspended are defensive players: Brown is a linebacker, Crup is a cornerback, Grose is a safety and Young is a defensive end.

“On behalf of our university and athletics department, I have been in consistent contact with University of Michigan Athletics Director Warde Manuel and Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren,” school vice president Alan Haller said in the statement. “In addition to members of our Spartan family to offer our apologies and to ensure our collaboration with law enforcement as they conduct investigations into the matter.”
