Michigan State legend Branden Dawson will go down as one of the most beloved Spartans to ever put on the green and white jersey. Over the weekend, Dawson took to social media to announce his retirement from professional basketball.
A 6-foot-6 player who played like he was seven feet tall, Dawson suited up for MSU from 2011 to 2015 and was named All-Big Ten in 2015. After leaving Michigan State, he was selected in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans. He spent two years with the Los Angeles Clippers before he started playing overseas.
Dawson last played professional basketball in Taiwan.
