For the first time since 2019, Michigan State hockey has a winning stream going against Michigan. The Spartans beat the Wolverines 5-1 at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor on Friday night.
MSU goalie Trey Augustine led the way with a stellar performance, blocking 29 of 30 shots on the night.
Michigan State will have an opportunity to extend their winning streak over Michigan to three, the longest they’ve had against their in-state rivals since the 2009-10 season, when they play U of M tomorrow night at Little Caesar’s Arena in Detroit.
