Michigan State football’s QB battle is heating up

Jay Johnson took the stand for his spring press conference to talk all things MSU and give an update on the Spartans offense. Part of that update included the ongoing quarterback battle.

Payton Thorne is the returning starter and has been the starter the past two seasons, but longtime backup Noah Kim and 2022 four-star recruit Katin Houser are nipping at his heels to take over the starting quarterback position.

According to Jay Johnson, it appears the race is neck and neck, with all three QB’s getting equal reps and playing pretty evenly.
